Card Shows

Card shows are a gathering of sports card collectors and dealers where cards and memorabilia are bought, sold and traded. The earliest sports card shows started in the early 1970’s and by the 1990's they were everywhere! Still today, there are many card shows all over the United States on any given weekend. There are smaller regional shows in shopping malls and hotel conference rooms, and there are very large national card shows attended by dealers and collectors from all over the United States. The largest sports collectibles show is The National Sports Collectors Convention which held every year in a different major city. Other large card shows Kit Young's Hawaii Trade Conference, the annual Chicago Sports Fest, and and the quarterly show in Ft. Washington, PA that collectors call "The Philly Show".
