I had a question through email recently about 1991 Topps Desert Shield baseball cards. The man had been in the military in 1991, during Operation Desert Shield, and he obtained some unopened packs while he was in the service. His question was about value and where to sell them. My reply to him is below:
Well, they are valuable. You might want to check eBay current and completed listings and see if any packs have sold recently. The problem with selling them as-is though, is that some collectors are suspicious about authenticity because the packs were evidently easy to put together. To get the most money for them, you’d probably want to send them to a 3rd party grader/authentication company such as PSA or another reputable company.
